1. Introduction

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") governs your use of SnowCoder's services, including our AI-powered code generation platform, APIs, and related services (collectively, the "Services"). This policy is part of and incorporated into our Terms of Service.

By using our Services, you agree to comply with this AUP. Violation of this policy may result in suspension or termination of your account.

2. General Principles

2.1 Responsible Use

You agree to use the Services:

  • Responsibly and ethically
  • In compliance with all applicable laws
  • In a manner that respects other users and our systems
  • Only for legitimate ServiceNow development purposes

2.2 Authorization

You must have proper authorization to:

  • Access any ServiceNow instances you connect
  • Use any code, data, or content you input
  • Act on behalf of any organization
  • Access any systems through generated code

3. Prohibited Activities

3.1 Security Violations

You may NOT use the Services to:

Unauthorized Access:

  • Attempt to access accounts or systems without authorization
  • Bypass authentication or access control mechanisms
  • Share login credentials with unauthorized parties
  • Access other users' data without permission

Security Attacks:

  • Perform security scanning or penetration testing without authorization
  • Develop or distribute malware, viruses, or malicious code
  • Launch denial-of-service (DoS) or distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attacks
  • Exploit vulnerabilities in our systems or others

Evasion:

  • Circumvent rate limits or usage quotas
  • Evade security measures or monitoring
  • Mask your identity for malicious purposes
  • Use VPNs or proxies to bypass restrictions

3.2 Harmful Content

You may NOT use the Services to generate, store, or transmit:

Illegal Content:

  • Child sexual abuse material (CSAM)
  • Content that violates any law
  • Instructions for illegal activities
  • Content that facilitates crimes

Harmful Content:

  • Content promoting violence or terrorism
  • Content inciting hatred or discrimination
  • Content that harasses or threatens others
  • Deliberately misleading or deceptive content

Infringing Content:

  • Content that violates intellectual property rights
  • Unauthorized copies of copyrighted material
  • Content that violates trademarks
  • Trade secrets or confidential information you don't own

3.3 AI-Specific Prohibitions (Anthropic Usage Policy)

IMPORTANT: The AI functionality in SnowCoder is powered by Anthropic's Claude. Your use is subject to Anthropic's Usage Policy, which is incorporated by reference. Violations of Anthropic's policy are violations of this AUP.

You may NOT use our AI Services to:

Deceptive Practices:

  • Create content designed to deceive or manipulate
  • Generate fake reviews, testimonials, or endorsements
  • Create deepfakes or misleading media
  • Impersonate individuals or organizations
  • Create disinformation or content deceptive to democratic processes
  • Engage in voter manipulation or deceptive campaign targeting

Harmful Applications:

  • Generate code for malicious purposes
  • Create malware, cyberattack tools, or hacking software
  • Create tools for harassment or stalking
  • Develop weapons or dangerous materials
  • Build surveillance systems for human rights abuses
  • Mass surveillance, tracking, profiling, or biometric monitoring

Competitive Misuse:

  • Build competing AI products or services
  • Train competing AI models using outputs
  • Reverse engineer or extract Anthropic's AI models

System Abuse:

  • Attempt to extract or reverse-engineer AI models
  • Probe for AI vulnerabilities or weaknesses
  • Generate content to "jailbreak" or bypass AI safety measures
  • Use automated systems to abuse the AI service

High-Risk Use Without Safeguards:

  • Use AI outputs for legal, financial, healthcare, or employment decisions affecting individuals without appropriate human oversight and AI content labeling

3.4 Service Abuse

You may NOT:

Resource Abuse:

  • Use excessive computational resources
  • Submit requests designed to overload systems
  • Create multiple accounts to circumvent limits
  • Use the Services in ways that degrade performance for others

Commercial Abuse:

  • Resell or redistribute the Services without authorization
  • Use the Services to build competing products
  • Scrape or harvest data from the Services
  • Use automated tools except as permitted by our API terms

Account Abuse:

  • Create fake or fraudulent accounts
  • Share accounts with unauthorized users
  • Use accounts for purposes other than intended
  • Evade account suspension or termination

3.5 ServiceNow-Specific Prohibitions

You may NOT:

  • Connect to ServiceNow instances without proper authorization
  • Use stored credentials for purposes beyond the intended scope
  • Generate code that violates ServiceNow's terms of service
  • Access or modify ServiceNow data you're not authorized to touch
  • Use the Services to circumvent ServiceNow licensing

4. Usage Limits

4.1 Rate Limits

To ensure fair use, we implement rate limits:

Exceeding these limits may result in temporary throttling or suspension.

4.2 Token Allocation

Your subscription includes a monthly token allocation:

  • Tokens are consumed by AI interactions
  • Unused tokens do not roll over
  • Additional tokens may be purchased
  • Enterprise plans have custom allocations

5. Content Standards

5.1 Your Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

  • All content you input into the Services
  • All code generated based on your prompts
  • Reviewing generated code before use
  • Ensuring compliance with applicable laws

5.2 Code Review

Before using any AI-generated code, you should:

  • Review for security vulnerabilities
  • Test in non-production environments
  • Validate business logic correctness
  • Ensure compliance with your organization's standards

5.3 Data Input

When inputting data to the Services:

  • Do not include sensitive personal data unless necessary
  • Avoid inputting credentials or secrets into prompts
  • Be aware that prompts may be processed by AI providers
  • Follow your organization's data classification policies

6. Reporting Violations

6.1 How to Report

If you become aware of any violations, please report them:

  • Date and time of the incident

6.2 Good Faith Reporting

We encourage good faith reporting and will not penalize users who report violations in good faith, even if the report turns out to be incorrect.

7. Enforcement

7.1 Investigation

We may investigate suspected violations by:

  • Reviewing usage logs and patterns
  • Analyzing content and code
  • Contacting you for clarification
  • Consulting with security experts

7.2 Actions We May Take

Depending on the severity and nature of violations, we may:

Warning:

  • Issue a formal warning
  • Request you cease the activity
  • Provide guidance on compliance

Temporary Restriction:

  • Limit access to certain features
  • Reduce rate limits or quotas
  • Require additional verification

Suspension:

  • Temporarily suspend your account
  • Suspend specific features
  • Require remediation before restoration

Termination:

  • Permanently terminate your account
  • Delete your data
  • Refer to law enforcement if appropriate

7.3 Appeals

If you believe action was taken in error:

  4. Our decision on appeal is final

8. Legal Compliance

8.1 Export Controls

You must comply with export control laws including:

  • U.S. Export Administration Regulations (EAR)

  • EU export control regulations
  • Applicable local export laws

8.2 Data Protection

You must comply with data protection laws including:

  • GDPR (if processing EU resident data)
  • CCPA (if processing California resident data)
  • Other applicable privacy regulations

8.3 Industry Regulations

If you operate in regulated industries, you must:

  • Comply with applicable industry regulations
  • Not use Services in ways that violate regulations
  • Implement appropriate controls for your industry

9. Updates to This Policy

We may update this AUP to:

  • Address new types of abuse
  • Clarify existing provisions
  • Respond to legal requirements
  • Improve user experience

Material changes will be communicated via email or notice in the Services.
